I am forever intrigued by degrees of scale: microcosms at our feet, in the air, water. Since we ourselves are but one degree of scale in a near infinite hierarchy, observing events in near proximity to my mode of existence allows me the luxury of increasing my perspective on personal events. How can I narcissistically obsess over some trivial event, when this moth over here is fighting for her very life?
